My JSON will not convert — why?
For spreadsheet-shaped outputs (CSV, TSV, XLSX) the JSON must be a list of records: an array of objects. A single object or a nested document has no rows and columns to become — the tool will tell you exactly that, in plain language, rather than failing silently.
What shape of JSON works?
For CSV, TSV and Excel output the JSON must be a list of records — an array of objects, one object per row, like [{"name":"Ada","age":36}]. Nested values inside a record are kept as compact JSON text in their cell, so nothing is silently dropped.
Which row is the header?
The first row of a CSV/TSV file, and the first row of the spreadsheet’s active sheet, are treated as column names and preserved. Converting back keeps them, so CSV → JSON → CSV keeps your headers and values.
